The Dual Forms Hard Gel Extensions Course

For nail technicians already trained in gel polish, builder gel and/or hard gel, wanting to advance
their skills into nail extensions or specifically learn the dual form technique.

Brand/Kit:
Willow Nail courses are non-brand-specific, giving you the freedom to use whichever brand you prefer. At Willow, we promote 'freedom of choice’ and provide support for all technicians,regardless of the products you use. If you're unsure which brand to invest in, your educator will be happy to discuss your options with you. During your training, a range of brands will also be available for you to try, helping you make an informed decision.

Course Requirements:
You are required to have a qualification in Gel Manicure/Gel Polish and E-File to be eligible for the course. While a builder gel qualification is ideal, it is not a necessity.

What you will need:
A product kit is not included in the course price. You won’t need any tools or products on the day of the course, as these will be provided by your educator for use during the session. However, you will need to organise a product kit to practice on models for any required case studies. If you’re unsure about setting up your product kit, please contact your educator, who will be happy to assist you.
Please bring the following:
• A notepad and pen.
• Arrive with naked nails, as you will be working on yourself unless instructed to organise a
model.
• Both days run 10am-4pm with a 20-30min lunch break, so please bring your own lunch.
Accreditation
All Willow courses are fully accredited by ABT unless stated otherwise. Certification will only be awarded upon the successful completion of all required case studies. The educator reserves the right to request additional case studies if necessary.

Day 2
• Day 1 recap
• Infill procedure of both salon square and salon almond
• Troubleshooting
• Full Removal
• Aftercare and Maintenance
• Quick glitter designs using the dual form technique
• Marketing advice

Case Studies
You will be required to complete 2 case studies on models that must be completed by day 2.
One case study must display salon almond application and the other must display salon square application. Full details on requirements will be given to you at the end of day 1.
Course Layout:
To ensure the highest standards of training, students will be required to pass a theory and practical test. The student may be required to download pre-course information and theory at the time of booking, which will need to be studied prior to their course. This ensures students come to the course well prepared, so they get the most from their practical training. The practical training is structured around the course material, which is divided into four parts.
1. Anatomy and physiology of the nail
2. The Treatment
3. Hygiene, Health & Safety
4. Regulatory and statutory requirements.
Emphasis is placed on the student understanding the practicalities of providing a professional treatment. They will be shown how to carry out gel techniques and be expected to carry out the treatment themselves. The student will be assessed by the educator of the session. If the educator believes the student is competent, a certificate will be awarded in accordance with our Terms & Conditions. The educator has the right to ask for further case studies if they feel the student requires more practice before gaining their certification.
